The Health Behavior and Health Systems Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Research Assistant to join our team. The employee in this position will provide research support and work closely with two Principal Investigators in the implementation of two NIH funded studies on adolescent and young adult alcohol use. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Team meetings. * Participant mail, email, and phone communications. * Participant recruitment and tracking. * Human subjects applications and modifications. * Participant payments. * Adherence to study protocols, preparation of timely status reports and updates for the investigators. * Supervising graduate students and lab volunteers. * Perform related duties as required. * Advanced computer skills using a range of software programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SPSS, STATA, and PowerPoint). * Ability to work independently. * Ability to organize and prioritize tasks. * Assist with the preparation of recruiting materials. * Conduct recruitment and retention communications to participants; assist with the programming and testing of data collection survey software. * Assist with subject payments for participation. * Document study materials including measures binders. * Assist in preparing materials for presentation for Principal Investigators or Research Scientist. * Ability to communicate effectively. * Perform other administrative/clerical tasks.
