The department of Pharmacology & Neuroscience is seeking to hire a Research Assistant to join our team. This is primarily a research position requiring various types of laboratory work. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: * Assist in the collection of data in drug discrimination studies. * Assist in data analysis and report results. * Organize procurement and maintain inventory of resources. * Maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment. This position should be able to: * Understand and follow instructions, have good communication skills and work well with other laboratory personnel, which includes technical staff, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. * Write reports and summaries of research activities. * Use computers for word processing, data spreadsheets, and graphic programs. * Weigh compounds and make solutions for use in testing. * Maintain inventory and lab notebooks.
