The School of Public Health-Dean's Office Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Research Administrator to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Uses UNTHSC financial systems to track budgets, expenses, encumbrances, as well as generate projections for sponsored projects. * Assure PI is spending in accordance to the CAS standards and that costs are allowable, applicable and allocable. * Structure and track cost share funds and work with PIs to ensure timely fiscal reporting and reviews, re-budgeting and no-cost extension requests. * Interprets and explains regulations, policies, and procedures to staff and faculty. * Provides requests to staff responsible for preparing payroll, purchasing and payables forms to charge expenses to sponsored awards. * Review/approve purchase orders, invoices, subcontract requests, p-card charges, travel, etc. * Works with Pre-award, contracts and external collaborators on the establishment of subcontract agreements and sub recipient monitoring. * Maintains complete and accurate financial records for sponsored projects (including federal grants, industry contracts, internal UNTHSC grants, state awards and cost share) in compliance with all state, university, federal, and grant requirements. * Works with Research Accounting when needed to provide accurate and timely invoices and reports to the federal sponsor. * Serves as Effort Reporting Coordinator for assigned faculty/disciplines to ensure accurate reporting of effort to comply with federal policies. * Primary point of contact for electronic payment system for participant incentive gift cards (clincards). * Coordinates reconciliation for procurement card purchases on sponsored research projects and ensures that appropriate supporting documentation is maintained. * Maintains detailed spreadsheet of faculty salary requirements for those engaged in sponsored research to calculate faculty incentives to provide to Senior Associate Dean. * Work directly with PI's assisting with grant submissions. * Maintains complete and accurate financial records for sponsored projects (including federal grants, industry contracts, internal UNTHSC grants, state awards and cost share). * Functions and communicates effectively and respectfully and able to do so with people of various backgrounds and expertise. * Maintain supporting documentation for sponsored research projected and provide as requested for internal and external audits.
