The Classroom and Events Technology Support Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Education Tech Support Specialist. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Oversee the daily performance of classroom AV equipment. * Answer customer inquiries regarding classroom technology or automation system operation to resolve problems. * Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. * Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. * Determine the best solution for each inquiry, issue or request by applying and / or adapting existing knowledge and best practices. * Enter trouble tickets into Samanage system for metrics. * Utilize existing support tools, techniques and methodology. * Participate in the capture of new knowledge and solutions. * Provide daily support to classes or meetings as assigned by the Manager. * Provide technical support for on and off campus events. * Monitor and reply to Classroom and Event Technology Support email and input requests into UNTHSC scheduling software. * Troubleshoot equipment. * Keep current inventory of department equipment. * Keep current inventory of office supplies and classroom supplies. * Answer office phones in order to provide assistance to customers. * Assist walk-in customers. * Assist other team members on projects. * Performs other duties as assigned.
