The Office of Sponsored Programs at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Director, Faculty Research Support Team to join our team. This position will establish and lead a Faculty Research Support Team (FRST), composed of experienced sponsored program administration professionals. This individual is responsible for supervision, oversight, and administrative guidance for compliance with sponsor, federal, and state regulations, university policies, and Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring fiscal and administrative compliance in the areas of proposal composition and administration of awarded sponsored projects. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Provide vision and guidance for university-wide programs by establishing an effective curriculum of training and internal controls for the financial management for sponsored projects to ensure adherence with sponsor and university policy. * Oversee FRST, a team of experienced Sponsored Programs professionals responsible for proposal development support and comprehensive PI financial portfolio management and time and effort management. * Develop and manage orientation and training related to Sponsored Programs for new research faculty and Sponsored Programs off-boarding for departing research faculty. * Serves as an advisor and resource for principal investigators/faculty and executive directors on sponsor terms and conditions including proposal guidelines, budget development, proof of work, payroll allocation, and post award reporting. * Work with the Executive Director on strategic planning and policy and procedure development for Sponsored Programs. * Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates staff and ensures that staff remains knowledgeable of changes in federal and HSC guidelines, policies and procedures related to personnel management. * Assists with time and effort reporting processes and oversees audit coordination and response related to FRST responsibilities.
