The Facilities Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Automated Controls Technician to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Provide skilled technical and engineering technical support. * Repair, maintenance, programming and refurbishment of electrical and automation control projects. * Assist in the management of projects, coordination of work and execution of work related to electrical maintenance, electrical engineering and controls automation. Representative Tasks: * Install and program Building Automation systems. * Create and/or install custom graphics. * Troubleshoot system failures and recommend and/or carry out corrective measures. * Perform periodic maintenance and calibration on system components. * Set-up and maintain system trend logs needed for diagnostics and repairs. * Perform system database maintenance and back-up/restore functions as needed. * Performs sensor troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, DVM, and digital metering or calibration equipment (digital thermometer, hygrometer, etc.) The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices.
