The Lifestyle Health Sciences Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Uses computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing. * Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals. * Maintain and enter information into databases. * Manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material. * Greet visitors or callers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs. * Maintain schedule and event calendars. * Complete forms in accordance with company procedures. * Schedule and confirm appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors. * Make copies of correspondence or other printed material. * Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, or reports, such as presentations or expense, statistical, or monthly reports. * Open, read, route, and distribute incoming mail or other materials and answer routine letters. * Mail newsletters, promotional material, or other information. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Participate in Department of Lifestyle Health Sciences events. * Support student recruitment, retention and success initiatives. * Process travel and expense documentation. * Order department supplies. * Manage and provide content for departmental website and social media accounts. * Complete other duties as assigned by the LHS Department Chair and Academic Program Manager.
