The Student Affairs Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Administrative Associate to join our team. The Administrative Support position within the Office of the Registrar will be expected to perform a variety of office functions. Those functions include serving as the first point of contact to both internal and external visitors of the division and providing exceptional administrative support. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Serving as the first point of contact for the division and receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately. * Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries for the Office of the Registrar and the Division of Student Affairs. * Manage/update calendars and schedule meetings. * Handles confidential information with tact, discretion and in compliance with FERPA regulations. * Assist the Office of the Registrar with special projects and events. * Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness. * Ability to exercise good judgment in making various decisions related to departmental functions. * Ability to effectively work with colleagues and students by practicing punctuality, collaborative problem solving, and honest communication * Create and maintain positive and collegial working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders as well as UNTHSC departments. * Perform other duties as assigned.
