This is a professional role responsible for supporting the performance management and compensation strategy within the UNT System and its constituent institutions. Working with System Administration and Campus Human Resources, this position will plan and execute various total rewards programs including:performance management,performance based administrative leave and other total rewards initiatives. This position is also responsible for identifying business initiatives, programs and processes that contribute to achieving the UNT System Human Resources vision as well as developing both quantitative and qualitative success metrics and measures for each key initiative. This role is part of a collaborative total rewards team to deliver an overall total rewards solution and reports directly to the Director of Compensation. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Perform individual / organizational performance improvement tasks related to identification of organizational results, work outputs, and key behaviors; assessment of organization, process and job level performance; design and implementation of measurement systems; analysis of present and desired levels of performance; recommendation and implementation of interventions; evaluation of intervention results; and measurement of ROI & client satisfaction. * Maintain and enhance electronic performance management tools and related processes, including project planning, execution of electronic performance management processes throughout the year,communication, ongoing process improvement and effective integration of current and future systems. Responsible for developing training and communication programs aimed at aligning employee activities with performance management practices and organizational goals. * Design, develop, implement and evaluate various performance and compensation programs based on best practices and workforce demographic trends. * Conduct competency profiling and other needs assessment methods to identify and prioritize organizational needs. * Evaluate and recommend adoption of existing change, process improvement, and project management methodologies. * Assess readiness and obstacles to change and determine optimal pathways and methods to accomplish change. * Produce tools and resources to support individual development planning and career development. * May take a lead role in managing and completing special projects. * Collaborate with HR team to design, development, and content evaluation of performance management strategic initiatives including workshops, training sessions, and programs. * Conduct group facilitation, training and presentation to various audiences related to enhanced tools, processes, and strategic initiatives. * Evaluate and recommend adoption of existing change, process improvement, and project management methodologies. * Provides reports to management on the success of various programs designed to enhance employee / organizational performance. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Instructional / Educational Technology, Education, Organizational Development, Business or related field and four years of successful experience in development, coordination and facilitation of talent management programs (performance management, leadership development, succession management, organization development, change management); or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: * Strong internal consulting skills, including diagnosis, intervention design, client management, and outcome evaluation. * Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating performance management programs - including supporting programs. * Experience with performance management practices including coaching, mentoring, program design & development, and evaluation. * Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with solution-oriented approaches and strong collaboration with Human Resources colleagues and business stakeholders. * Strong group process, facilitation, and presentation skills. * Ability to take ownership of projects, and manage resources to achieve project outcomes. * Ability to synthesize and analyze data to inform appropriate solutions, and to measure impact. * Strong process orientation and subject matter expertise in adult learning, performance, and talent management processes. * Ability to weave and integrate diversity and inclusion throughout talent processes. * Ability to effectively facilitate groups, in meetings, workshops or briefings. * Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal. * Ability to think creatively and strategically to make recommendations and to execute assignments. * Ability to travel as required. * Ensures relevant policies are current, broadly disseminated and practiced.
