The Dance & Theatre Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Ticket Box Office Manager to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Monitor the sale of season, individual and complimentary tickets. * Manage computer ticketing/reservation system. * Coordinate credit card operation. * Manage the bookkeeping system, control of audit system, deposits, and inventory. * Ensure Box Office security. * Supervise all aspects of marketing for the department's theatre and dance events. * Evaluate effectiveness of strategies for audience development. * Formulate and implement the best practices in the use of social media including the assessment of social media analytics. * Develop and implement marketing strategies both in print and electronic copy such as posters, ads, season brochures, press releases, and lobby displays. * Supervise all aspects of publicity for the department's production season. * Create publicity materials in both print and electronic media format for the department's production season. * Oversee the department's website and FB events page. The successful candidate will possess the following Associates degree and 3 years of experience in positions that required daily contact with the public and responsibility for cash management including some box office/ticketing office experience or related work or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required: * Proven customer service skills and experience working directly with the public. * Demonstrated knowledge of ticketing systems. * Previous experience working in a ticketing office. * Excellent communication skills. * Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail. * Demonstrated skills in cash handling, financial reporting and budget management. * Flexibility to work varied hours as needed. * Knowledge of marketing principles and ability to develop marketing collateral.
