The Learning Center Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Student Success Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Coordinates Texas Success Initiative efforts campus-wide. * Develops remediation plans and meets with TSI incomplete student each semester. * Ensures TSI incomplete students are enrolled in their proper courses. * Coordinates orientation efforts, including conducting transcript evaluation, contacting students TSI incomplete, organizing testing, and providing guidance on remediation needs. * Collaborates with faculty to develop developmental instruction options for TSI incomplete students. * Provides training and guidance to the campus community regarding TSI policies and procedures. * Understands and stays informed on changes to TSI policies and procedures. * Hires, trains, and supervises student assistants. * Maintains up-to-date documentation and progress of students TSI incomplete. * Assist with other Learning Center programs, including Learning 101 Series and Academic Coaching. * Participation in university, division, and departmental committees and activities. * Presents outreach and programs that require some evening and weekend work. * Perform related duties as assigned by the Assistant Director or Director. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. * Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops. * Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations. * Experience in networking across departments and programs. * Demonstrated commitment to diversity. * Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects. * Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills. * Some experience in customer service is preferred.
