The Student Service Coordinator contributes to student success/student wellbeing by planning, coordinating, and implementing high quality, recovery supportive programming for students engaged in the Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP). Programs include, but are not limited to, peer recovery support, service opportunities, sober social activities, and academic success. Through these efforts, this position will contribute to the continued development of students. In addition to serving students in recovery, the Student Service Coordinator will provide resources and materials to friends and family members of persons in or seeking recovery. The Student Service Coordinator will educate the campus community about recovery and be the primary point of contact for the students in the Collegiate Recovery Program community. The CRP is a program within the Recovery and Intervention Support and Education (RISE) Center. The RISE center is the central location for students, staff, and faculty seeking information on substance use and recovery support. The RISE Center is not a treatment program and does not provide clinical services, rather, it is oriented around peer recovery support, sober social activities, and campus and community outreach and education. The RISE Center is housed within the Dean of Students office within the Division of Student Affairs. * Plans, coordinates, and implements all CRP programming targeting on-campus audiences. * Collaborate with supervisor to educate campus community about alcohol and drug prevention and recovery. * Provides referrals for further care, as necessary. * Trains and provides direction to peer mentors to facilitate peer group meetings. * Provides professional outlook regarding recovery to the Drug and Alcohol Education Task Force. * Maintains current knowledge of peer driven recovery best practices. * Supervises CRP interns. * Assists in assessment and evaluation. * Customer Service: Provides clients with a pleasant, professional attitude and image. * Oversees the responsible management of client files and databases. * Completes special projects and assignments as necessary. * Build relationships with faculty, staff, and community leaders in an effort to foster collaboration. * Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
