The Student Financial Services Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a SFS Coordinator for Collections to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Coordinates communications with students and former students regarding outstanding balances. * Communicates to students and former students by phone, email and through other communications regarding outstanding balances. * Collaborates with other University departments to identify opportunities to assist students with outstanding balances. * Coordinates assignment of outstanding balances to third-party agencies for collection purposes. * Assists in processing collection payments from third-party agencies. * Uses computer system to access account information to enter data as needed. * Provides student tuition and fee billing information to students and parents. * Assists in provide service to customers as needed in person at the front counter of Student Financial Services. * Assists customers by phone and email. * Reviews accounts for accuracy and validates balances against collection agency reports. * Maintains a working knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to collection methods and techniques. * Assists with special projects as requested. The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree with 3 yrs work experience in accounting, billing/receivables or related business.
