The Office of Research Integrity and Compliance (ORIC) at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Sr. Research Compliance Analyst to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Responsible for managing the administrative operations of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Conflict of Interest Committee (COI), Responsible Conduct of Research Program (RCR) and post-approval monitoring program (PAM) * Reviewing human and animal research protocols conflict of interest disclosures to ensure they are in compliance with regulations prior to Board/Committee review * Oversees post-approval monitoring program to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the approval period * Processes and reviews protocol modifications, continuing reviews, and final reports * Oversees COI annual disclosure process and maintains updated disclosures for proposed and awarded funding * Manages Responsible Conduct of Research training program by providing training presentations and managing program compliance for federal awards *Assist Director with departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices *Assist with conducting investigations into alleged non-compliance issues, conducts research and fact-finding and creates correspondence related to findings *Provides guidance to researchers regarding their protocols and disclosures, assists incoming questions/inquiries from faculty, staff, and students regarding IACUC, COI and RCR * Manages protocol and disclosure databases, maintains filing systems * Oversees logistics for committee meetings, drafts all meeting correspondence and meeting minutes * Maintains and submits required regulatory reports to agencies, assists with lab inspections and semiannual inspections, audit requests, congruency reviews and programmatic reviews * Analyzes, researches and gathers data when needed to assist researchers and team members with problematic issues related to submissions * Assists with problem-solving issues regarding electronic systems, submissions and reporting mechanisms * Assists Director with specialized compliance projects * Performs other duties as assigned The University of North Texas System and its component institutions are committed to equal opportunity and comply with all applicable federal and state laws regarding nondiscrimination and affirmative action. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, accounting, finance, auditing, public administration, or related field and five years of relevant administrative work or Bachelor's Degree in any field and seven years' experience in relevant administrative work including some in research compliance. Prefer experience in higher education. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required: * Ability to understand, analyze and communicate complex issues effectively with administrators, faculty, staff and students regarding compliance issues. * Deep knowledge of compliance issues with federally funded projects, agency regulations, and federal law to be able to review and provide additional IRB, IACUC and COI requirements from a variety of agencies. * Works independently on clear, effective written communication skills; e.g. emails to ask about or convey regulatory requirements. * Interpersonal skills to maintain excellent relationships with researchers and various offices across the level of the institution. * Time management skills including ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while attending to detail and not sacrificing accuracy. * Ability to determine when decisions can be appropriately made and when they must be referred to a higher level to protect institutional integrity. * Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, website content construction, communication and basic statistical operations. * Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.
