The Administrative IT Services Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Sr Cross Functional IT Support Specialist to join our team. The position will be responsible for the following job functions, but not limited to: * Workstation support and user support in Student Affairs and during emergencies with all areas of AITS. * Workstation and user support in departments supported by AITS as required by the Executive Director and Cross Functional IT Support Manager. * Manage service tickets. * Perform calendar/scheduling functions for the Executive Director. * Perform research activities as needed by the AITS Executive Director. * Perform projects and tasks in support of Student Affairs and AITS in an assistance role. * Track and maintain office supply inventory for AITS. * Backup management of servers and software. * Windows OS and some Apple OS. * End-user support and training. * Responsible for keeping an accurate internal equipment inventory for AITS. * On-call responsibilities. * Monitor and respond to malware incidents. * Work on maintaining and modifying the AITS ePO dashboard. * Familiar with industry best practices pertaining to security and following those on the job. * Surveillance, access control and environmental control systems management and support. * Support of digital signage systems in Student Affairs and as needed for the Union department. * Work with departments with their AV needs in a backup role. * Assist Executive Director and Cross Functional IT Support Manager for AV project in departments and special needs that require many IT disciplines. * Work with departments in support of events for their WiFi and remote setup needs. The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree in related field and four years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required: * Prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department. * Knowledge of principles of computing and communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in distributed environment. * Ability to operate computer keyboards and to install computer hardware. * Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information.
