This position is responsible for assisting researchers with a variety of tasks related to external funding for research. May be placed in departments, deans’ offices, centers, institutes, or research groups. Depending on needs of the unit, the position may involve pre-award, post-award, research development or other related tasks specifically on the UPO-31. Duties reflect substantial variety and complexity and may include decision-making authority and transaction approval within parameters set by OGCA and the direct supervisor. Duties may include assignments that require creativity, originality and interpretation of policies, procedures and instructions. Serves as a resource to others in rules, changes to rules and the resolution of problems, including to researchers and support staff. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of UNT policies and procedures and is knowledgeable of state, federal and agency statutes, guidelines, and requirements.
