The Department of Teacher Education and Administration seeks a Senior Lecturer of Early Childhood Education for the grades EC-3 and EC-6 initial teacher certification programs and the M.S. in Early Childhood Education program, with the appointment beginning in Fall 2019. This is a non-tenure track, one-year appointment (with the possibility of renewal) at a salary that is competitive and commensurate with rank and experience. All standard University of North Texas, College of Education, and relevant Department of Teacher Education and Administration faculty personnel rules and procedures apply to this position. Responsibilities include teaching four undergraduate and/or graduate courses each semester of the academic year (fall and spring). These courses may be in the grades EC-6 initial teacher certification programs and/or the M.S. in Early Childhood Education program. Other responsibilities include contributing to program development and student support and engaging in departmental and program-area initiatives. In addition, this position may include .25 FTE to collaborate at the UNT Child Development Lab. Summer teaching is possible but is dependent on budget and demand. Qualified candidates will have an earned doctoral degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in early childhood education.
