The University of North Texas Library is seeking to hire a Reserves and Evening Manager to join our Access Services Department. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Manages reserves service at the Willis Library Services Desk * Processes and maintains print and electronic reserves using Sierra Integrated Library System * Ensures compliance with copyright law and reserves best practices. * Corresponds with instructors and subject librarians regarding reserve requests * Manages evening operations in the Access Services Department in Willis Library * Supervises staff and student assistants in the evening hours * Resolves problem situations occurring in the evening hours * Staffs combined Circulation and Research Assistance services desk providing patron instruction and research support * Collects fines * Reports monthly statistics * Provides training to staff and student assistants * Responds to emails received in the department email account * Contributes to goal development for strategic planning for the department * Assists in completion of department projects * Other duties as assigned The University of North Texas System and its component institutions are committed to equal opportunity and comply with all applicable federal and state laws regarding nondiscrimination and affirmative action. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and one year of progressively responsible library experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required: * Extensive knowledge of library principles and policies, and knowledge of specialized area functions and workflows. * Experience in working effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the community. * Ability to utilize multiple computer applications toward increased productivity in a rapidly changing environment. * Strong leadership skills. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. * Knowledge of safe working procedures and security measures related to work performed.
