The Student Financial Services Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Functional Analyst to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Assists in implementing new EIS (PeopleSoft) functionality in conjunction with ITSS staff and/or consultants. Includes need and fit/gap analysis, system functional setup/configuration, testing, data validation. * Resolves EIS functionality issues, in conjunction with ITSS technical staff. Includes problem identification, providing specifications, testing, and signoff. * Serves as an EIS security coordinator for Student Finance module. * Provides data as requested for department and other divisions. * Assists in facilitating in-house training and "change management" activities associated with systems usage, maintenance changes or new functionality implementation to ensure users understand how to properly use the systems. * Coordinates review and update of user documentation and training and is the first-line of defense and support for departmental users with EIS application related issues and questions. * Partners with relevant stakeholders to accomplish department and university goals. The successful candidate will possess an Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Math, or related business field and three years of progressively responsible business analysis or business functional experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required: * Extensive functional knowledge of PeopleSoft modules, such as finance, budget, payroll, payments, and student finance. * Basic knowledge of the methods used in application development and support, including system analysis and design, and system testing techniques. * Strong skill in writing requirements and testing plans for computer applications. * Strong skill in analyzing and solving complex data processing and business application problems. * Ability to coordinate a work in a project team for specific tasks or assignments. * Ability to perform detailed work accurately and work independently. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with technical and non-technical staff. * Ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and effectively both orally and in writing.
