The CLEAR (Center for Learning Experimentation, Application, and Research) Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Data Analyst to join our team. The purpose of this position is to provide data collection, analysis, and reporting for CLEAR, and to increase the campus-wide use of data tools designed to increase academic outcomes-based assessment. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Collaborative development of a data infrastructure for CLEAR, particularly focused on course development, faculty development, media production services, and research. * Learning and student assessment data collection, analysis of existing and upcoming data sets, and evidence-based reporting to inform instructional decision-making. The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in related field and two years of data analysis work experience. * Demonstrated strong statistical and technical ability, particularly advanced statistical models. * Proficiency with a range of quantitative research methods in education and the social sciences. * Strong analytical skills. * Strong written communication skills related to academic and research-based writing. * Working knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS, or R, and relational database design and logic. * Experience managing large datasets and databases. * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Access and Excel. * Proficiency in specific software may be required.
