The Counseling & Testing Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Counselor/Crisis Counselor to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Providing crisis and urgent assessments for walk in students. * Providing coordination of follow up care for students that walk in for a crisis or urgent assessment. The successful candidate will possess the following Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Clinical or Educational Psychology or related field. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required: * Knowledge of professional counseling practices, policies, and procedures. * Strong oral and written communications skills. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. * Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed. Required: Must be licensed by the State of Texas or the ability to obtain appropriate licensure within twenty-four months of employment.
