The Learning Center Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Coordinator for Tutoring Services to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Coordinate the Volunteer Tutor and Lead Tutoring Program. * Coordinate the Learning Center's CRLA Tutor Certification program. * Hire, train, and supervise a Graduate Assistant. * Hire, train, and supervise Lead Tutors. * Recruit, select and train Volunteer Tutors. * Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with multiple university departments and offices. * Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with faculty members. * Advance philosophies of student development and cultural diversity while actively promoting diversity in staffing, programming, and student leadership. * Assist in the development and implementation of assessments, evaluations, and research activities related to students' success in learning. * Assist with the development, revision, and distribution of marketing, educational, and informational publications and materials related to the Learning Center. * Participation in university, division, and departmental committees. * Provide assistance to other Learning Center programs as needed. * Present outreach programs and workshops that may require some evening and weekend work. * Perform related duties as assigned by the Associate Director or Executive Director. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. * Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops. * Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations. * Experience in networking across departments and programs. * Demonstrated commitment to diversity. * Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects. * Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills. * Some experience in customer service is preferred.
