The Autism Center Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Clinical Director to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of the KFAC's direct services, including scheduling, staffing, insurance authorizations, and other administrative duties. * Directs the KFAC clinical staff and other professionals in administering, scoring, and interpreting diagnostic and clinical assessments. * Directs the KFAC clinical staff and other professionals in preparing and implementing high-quality therapeutic and/or instructional curricula, activities, and methods in the treatment of autism. * Develops, implements, and evaluates the KFAC's clinical standards, including the assessment of treatment fidelity and client outcomes. * Ensures the full implementation and effective delivery of the KFAC's IDEAL Comprehensive Treatment Model of evidence-based practices in autism treatment. * Communicates and coordinates with KFAC clinical staff to ensure the KFAC mission, vision, philosophy, and procedures are fully embraced and effectively implemented. * Collaborates with the KFAC Leadership Team and Training Director to effectively communicate ideas and fully implement relevant components of the Strategic Plan. * Participates in the KFAC budgeting process by providing inputs and submitting timely reports. * Designs, conducts, supervises, and disseminates applied and other research. * Leads and coordinates grant writing activities. * Ensures that the KFAC's direct services follow and meet all university, state, and federal compliance and best practice guidelines, including those of insurance providers and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. The successful candidate will possess the following: Doctorate Degree in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and Language Pathology, or other autism/disabilities-related field and four years of experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required: * Experience in autism intervention, diagnosis, and training. * Experience designing, conducting, summarizing, and disseminating disabilities research. * A minimum of four years public school special education experience and/or clinic-based experience providing direct services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. * Extensive knowledge of national trends and developments in autism intervention/research. * Extensive knowledge of State of Texas rules and regulations related to autism and/or disabilities services. * Ability to quickly assimilate university policies and procedures. * Ability to develop multidisciplinary teams, and maintain positive, effective professional working relationships. * Ability to work independently given clear direction and guidance. * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. * Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse populations. * Strong presentation and public relations skills. * Knowledge of safety and security issues related to teaching clients with disabilities. * Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills. Required: Board Certification in Behavior Analysis, Doctoral Level.
