The Building Utilities Mechanic is a senior level position under minimal supervision, performs senior level tasks (primarily complex or advanced) operates, monitors, and maintains utilities, including HVAC systems maintenance and balancing, purified water, process equipment, and laboratory pressurization systems. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical equipment and systems in accordance with SOPs, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory. Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required to streamline processes and increase efficiency. Utilizes the automated building controls systems to operate equipment efficiently.
