The College of Engineering has established college-wide priorities for the areas of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Autonomous Vehicles, Digital Manufacturing, and Smart Sensors. The department plans to contribute to these priorities by hiring faculty in our existing strength areas of Algorithms and Computation Science, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Systems and Networking, Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering. Candidates in the areas of artificial intelligence/machine learning, databases/information retrieval/data science, and security/information assurance, who can contribute to one or more of the department's existing strengths and/or college priority areas, are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates are expected to teach CSE undergraduate and graduate courses, develop a strong research program funded by external sources, support and mentor graduate students, and provide service to the University and the profession. This position begins in Fall 2020.
