University of North Texas - Asst Professor/Assoc Professor

The Division of Jazz Studies in the University of North Texas College of Music invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Jazz (tenure-track or tenured), beginning August 2021. Duties may include: TEACHING – undergraduate and graduate courses in jazz research, jazz theory, jazz history, and other areas of specialization, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications; serve on undergraduate and graduate advisory committees (BM, MM, and DMA); RESEARCH – contribute original scholarship to a national/international audience through publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, and through scholarly monographs; and SERVICE – recruit undergraduate and graduate students into the Division of Jazz Studies; serve on divisional/college/university committees; participate in professional organizations (JEN, AMS, SMT, CMS, etc.), and perform other duties as assigned by the Division and/or College.
