The College of Music invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor beginning August 2019. Duties will include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory, including courses in areas of specialization and core theory courses; maintaining an active program of research and scholarly publication; recruiting students into the graduate program in music theory; serving on undergraduate and graduate advisory committees (BM, MA, PhD, and DMA); serving on divisional/college/university committees; and other duties as assigned by the Division and/or College UNT is a tier-one research university with 12 colleges and schools offering 97 bachelor's, 82 master's and 35 doctoral degree programs. Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, UNT has an enrollment of about 36,000 students. The College of Music of the University of North Texas offers one of the largest comprehensive music programs among American universities. Approximately 1,600 students enroll annually in undergraduate and graduate programs taught by globally acclaimed faculty.
