The Division of Advancement is seeking to hire an Assistant Director of Gift Administration to join our team. The Assistant Director will support the overall mission of the Division of Advancement by coordinating various gift administration processes, posting gifts and pledges, resolving day to day issues and inquiries from internal and external constituents, performing integrity checks and reports, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Assists manager with receiving, recording, legal receipting, and acknowledging of all charitable contributions to the university. * Deposits checks, cash, and credit cards and prepares entries for the general ledger. * Resolves day to day issues and inquiries from internal and external constituents. * Performs integrity checks and generates assigned reports. * Assists with reconciliation of deposits and fees. * Indirectly supervises student assistants and serves as backup for gift accountants. * Ensures data integrity by following established internal and external guidelines and processing all gifts and constituent information timely, accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and two years of professional experience in marketing, fundraising, event planning, public relations, corporate account sales, or communications; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. * Working knowledge of the development field. * Knowledge of accepted business practices and procedures. * Ability to establish and maintain cordial, productive, and professional working relationships with internal and external contacts. * Ability to manage time, personnel, financial, and physical resources effectively. * Exceptional communications skills. * Ability to master University policies and procedures and apply these in specific situations. * Some knowledge of philanthropy and fundraising principles or ability quickly assimilate.
