The Admissions Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Assistant Director, Admissions Recruitment and Outreach to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Support student recruiting and admission functions of Undergraduate Admissions for the University. * Coordinate the recruitment and counseling of prospective freshmen and transfer students visiting UNT. * Coordinate campus-wide recruitment and special events. * Provide services to on-campus prospective student visitors. * Develop and implement on-campus recruitment plans. * Supervise two full-time Admissions Officer positions and additional volunteers. * Experience with Microsoft Office products, ability to obtain credit card, to travel, and to present group presentations. * Have valid driver's license and good driving record. * Able to work independently. * Motivated, self-directed and have the ability and willingness to communicate enthusiastically with diverse populations in a positive, courteous and professional manner. * Able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required: * Previous Admissions Office experience. * Thorough knowledge of recruitment and admissions practices within a higher education setting. * Thorough knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population. * Ability to develop recruitment programs, create effective materials, and effectively plan and coordinate group events. * Ability to work collaboratively and support diversity of prospective students, community, constituents, staff, faculty, and other parties connected to this position.
