The Housing and Residence Life Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Assistant Director to join our team. Reporting to the Associate Director for Residence Life, the Assistant Director for Student Staff Training And Development is a leader within the university's residence life operation, supervising 3-4 hall directors and coordinating the training of all residence life student staff in alignment with strategic and responsive implementation of departmental goals and objectives. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Supervises 3-4 full-time hall directors and 1 graduate assistant. * Serves as a member of the department management team to assist in executing department-wide initiatives and decision-making. * Provides leadership for departmental function in the area of training as assigned by the Associate Director. This includes the coordination of fall and spring training for all student residence life staff positions such as, but not limited to, Resident Assistants, Part time and Full time Desk Clerks. * Coordinates training and development for new Resident Assistants in coordination with Community Director staff. * Receives and responds to CARE Team referrals to assess and support students in crises. * Serves in the Housing and Residence Life on-call rotation. * Serves as a liaison between Housing and Residence Life and various University Departments to build and maintain a positive interdepartmental working relationship. * Leads departmental committees and initiatives as requested. * Represents the department on division and university-wide committees and initiatives as requested. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
