• Promoting the mission, vision and values of UNTHSC. • Teaching and mentoring of health professional and graduate students. • Pursuing, developing, and leading research, innovation, and impact at an appropriately professional level in the field of neuropsychopharmacology: specifically, pre-clinical drug discovery and drug development for mental health disorders and diseases, and clinical genetics studies towards the precision medicine application of novel neuropsychopharmacologic agents. • Advancing an already established, high-quality record of peer-reviewed publications in rodent-focused neuropsychopharmacology and human genetics research. • Participating in the activities of departmental committees. • Maintaining a safe work environment, including ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal legislation, and the undertaking of risk assessments. • Collaborating within and outside the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. • Seeking extramural support in both individual and collaborative manners to support high quality research. • Supervising students, postdoctoral trainees, and technical staff undertaking research projects. • Participating in UNTHSC-wide, as well as local, national, and international, service activities. • Upholding high professional standards and leading by example. • Pursuing additional professional and service activities as assigned by the P&N Department Chair.
