The Department of Physical Therapy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) is seeking a Director of Academic Education (DAE) at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank for a 12-month appointment, beginning in the spring 2020. Rank and salary are commensurate with credentials, qualifications, and experience. The DAE, in coordination with the Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy, leads in planning, coordination, delivery and ongoing evaluation of academic courses. The DAE provides oversight of curriculum delivery, student performance, advisement, student-centered instructional activities, and assists with overall student learning and success. The DAE is expected to teach in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program, engage in scholarship, and provide service to the Department, School, and University. Content knowledge in neuroanatomy, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, pharmacology, motor control, and evidence-based research, is desired.
