We have an immediate opening for a Quality Control Technician at our Deerfield Beach, Florida headquarters.

Our company provides final assembly, labeling and packaging services of drug delivery devices to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Scientist and Engineers work closely with our partners to continuously create and introduce innovative, patient centric, solutions to enhance patient compliance and user experiences. Dedicated project managers work closely with their counterparts at the partner company to develop and maintain program timelines in line with the strategic and business needs of our partners. In addition, for those partners who wish to have SHL handle the final assembly process, SHL Pharma offers robust final assembly and labeling capabilities that enable our partners to improve speed to market and reduce the number of parties involved as well as have one clear point of responsibility.

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to work in our highly regulated facility. This position performs inspection for incoming materials, in-process material and finished products and maintains records generated during such inspections. Other duties include the following:

Position Description:

  • Performs inspection for incoming materials, in-process material and finished products and maintains records generated during such inspections
  • Maintains key indicators for the Product Realization process 
  • Assists the QC Manager in other quality activities to support the Product Realization process
  • Inspects incoming materials, in-process materials and finished products per applicable procedures and documents inspection results
  • Performs product identification and traceability activities as required
  • Segregates nonconforming materials per applicable procedures 
  • Initiates Nonconformance Reports and help with investigation and implementation of corrective action
  • Helps with CAPA investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Helps/Initiates document updates
  • Maintains key quality indicators 
  • Complies with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations

Qualifications:

  • 4 years+ in the medical device industry
  • Associate Degree in Science or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and experience working with sampling plans 
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
