Safety-Kleen is hiring Inside Sales Representative- Outbound who have strong organizational, planning, and communication skills with a track record of building successful customer relationships in a transactional and relationship environment. An Inside Sales Representative - Outbound is responsible for selling Safety-Kleen’s products and services (via telephone, web, or email) to specified customer segments and ensuring a positive customer experience. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a commission-based environment and utilize your sales experience, while scaling your career into advance sales and/or leadership in an Industry leading company.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Effectively articulates the value proposition associated with Safety-Kleen’s products and services
  • 60-70 outbound customer contacts per day
  • Responsible for driving outbound calls, emails, and proposals to focus on maintaining and expanding business relationships as well as gaining market share with existing and new customers.
  • Viewed as a trusted environmental waste and New Lube advisor to the customer.  Utilizes the knowledge of Safety-Kleen’s environmental waste removal services and Performance Plus Lube products to help customers meet local, state and federal regulatory laws.
  • Recommends business solutions considering customer needs and Safety-Kleen’s interests
  • Builds relationships with customers based on knowledge of Safety-Kleen’s technology, products, and services.
  • Stays abreast of current industry trends and how Safety-Kleen’s customers are being impacted to help solve specific market challenges in targeted industries
  • Utilizes a strategic approach to identify, evaluate, and recommend environmental and new lube solutions. 
  • Engages cross-functional resources, regardless of geographic location, in order to achieve goal/ meet customer needs
  • Effectively prioritizes multiple demands while ensuring customer needs are met
  • Makes decision based on an appropriate amount of information/data analysis

Additional Details:

  • Own and manage a pipeline of new and existing customer leads as well as a book of existing customers - all organized in our CRM (Salesforce)
  • Educate, strategize, and successfully sell Safety-Kleen services and products through a high volume of outbound sales calls. 
  • Become an expert in Safety-Kleen’s solutions, and adapt product recommendations quickly to suit client needs - asking probing questions and overcoming customer objections and rejection will be critical to your success.
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly sales goals- strong work ethic and tenacity are key!
  • Stay organized and manage your time effectively in order to complete your daily goals- you know that sales is a numbers game and you’re here to win



  • 2 or more years of outbound sales experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Sells Consultatively – Ability to use collaborative communication to engage clients in discussions that result in mutual value.
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly sales goals- strong work ethic and tenacity are key!
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and organizational skills - No fear of the phone.
  • Excellent typing ability (40+ WPM)
