Job Summary:
Drives company-owned truck over established route to deliver products. Tractor Trailer Experience Preferred
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
This position requires individuals who are conscientious, diplomatic, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a structured environment. Successful candidates will be friends and customer-focused in an environment that provides limited contact with other people. The position also requires that individuals be able to remain calm in stressful situations (e.g., customer complaints, time pressures.) Refer to the Hourly Performance Measures Addendum.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, risk of electrical shock, risk or radiation, and vibration, depending on the accounts that are assigned to the route.
