Self Opportunity, Inc.’s Meeting of the Minds is the Restaurant Industry’s largest gathering of Restaurant & Hospitality Recruiting / HR Professionals to discuss the most current topics and recruiting trends impacting the Restaurant & Hospitality Industry.
Self Opportunity Inc. started the "Meeting of the Minds" as a networking opportunity for the top restaurant recruiters in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. This quarterly luncheon was designed to discuss recruiting trends, best practices, and recruiting challenges in the restaurant industry. The "Meeting of the Minds" has grown incredibly. In 1995 the Meeting of the Minds consisted of 12 recruiters. In 2008 it grew to over 400 HR & recruiting professionals. These HR leaders and recruiters come together to network, share ideas, and work together to grow themselves, their companies and the hospitality industry.
What makes the Meeting of the Minds unique is that the conference’s primary focus is on the Restaurant and Hospitality industry. The general session topics have a focus on leadership development and issues impacting today’s recruiters and HR professionals.
Attendees can earn credits toward HR certification through SHRM.
This conference covers topics for the Senior HR professional, experienced recruiter and junior recruiter, making it a learning experience for all.
The chance to network with peers offers you the opportunity to grow and develop your career, plus find answers to the tough problems you are challenged with daily.
The Meeting of the Minds gives us the opportunity to give back to the Restaurant & Hospitality Industry as well as the community. Proceeds from the conference go to MDA and are set aside for student’s scholarships in a college of Restaurant and Hotel Management.
